The Perfect Upgrade: MicroMac's Thunder accelerator is the perfect hardware upgrade for your Macintosh LC, LCII (Performa 400/405/410/430) or Color Classic computer. The Thunder accelerator features a 32MHz 68030 processor and a 16MHz 68881 FPU (math coprocessor) to speed up CPU performance and math calculations. With the Thunder accelerator you are able to enjoy a new level of performance from your Macintosh. It allows you to run programs that require an FPU that would not otherwise run. Best of all, it brings a 68030 processor to the Macintosh LC. With this accelerator you can employ RAM Doubler (manufactured by Connectix Corporation) to double your memory up to a maximum of 10MB on your Macintosh LC.

Plug-and-Play: The Thunder accelerator is easy to install into your Macintosh and takes no longer than ten minutes. Simply open the case and install the accelerator into the processor direct slot (PDS) on the logic board. It's that easy.

System and Tools Requirements: Macintosh LC, LCII (Performa 400/405/410/430) or Color Classic with System 7.0, 7.1 or 7.5 and an optional anti-static grounding strap (available at most computer hardware stores).

Installation: Installation is easy and takes approximately fifteen minutes. Simply open the case to your computer (on the Color Classic, slide the logic board out of the back of the case) and install the accelerator into the processor direct slot (PDS) on the logic board. No software is required for the Macintosh LCII (Performa 400/405/410/430) or Color Classic. For the Macintosh LC, software installation consists of dragging one INIT (System Extension) from the accompanying Start-up disk to your System Folder.
