HARDWARE QUESTIONS


Q: On which Mac model can I install the PowerWorkStation?

A: The PowerWorkStation fits an all LC series Macintoshes. These are: LC, LCII, LCIII, LCIII+, LC475, Quadra 605, Performa 400, P405, P410, P430, P450, P460, P466, P467, P475, P476.

Q: Are there other upgrades available for my MicroMac PowerWorkStation ?

A: The PowerWorkStation as a Power option and a CD-mounting option. If you plan to just install the CD-ROM drive into the PWS and have no other internal SCSI drive but your regular hard drive you probably don't need the additional Power option. However if you do plan on connecting a internal ZIP drive, a CD-ROM drive and even a additional hard drive, we strongly recommend to get the power option which also comes with the required "splitter" to be able to connect all your devices.

Q: I upgraded my LC to the LC475, can I still get the PowerWorkStation ?

A: Yes.

Q: Can I get the PowerWorkStation chassis by itself or does it always come with the Thunder Accelerator?

A: Yes you can. It is even cheeper withour the XL.

Q: I'm convinced, yes I want to get this upgrade, what do I have to do?

A: To place the order, use this form (there is also a phone number on this form to call).
At the time you place the order you will be given a RMA number for you logic board, which you send back to us after the new logic board is completely working. This RMA number also appears on your invoice. There is also a deposit on the invoice for you old logic board, which we'll refund you upon receipt of your logic board.
