	The MacOpener™ Tool is the tool to open your Compact Mac. The 9" (236mm) long tool allows you to easily access the Torx screw located deep inside the carrying handle of the early Macs.

Open Your Compact Macintosh: The early Macintosh models originally were not designed to be easily opened by the end user. In order to give your Mac the memory, the hard disk capacity and the speed, however, you need to easily get access to the inside of the Mac.
     The back of the compact Mac is secured by four or five special Torx screws. All but two screws are easily accessible. The last two Torx screws are located deep underneath the carrying handle.

The Macintosh 128K, 512K, 512Ke and the Plus have 5 Torx screws. One is located underneath the battery cover.	The Macintosh SE, SE/30 and the Classic and Performa 200 have 4 Torx screws.	The Macintosh Color Classic, Color Classic II and Performa 275 have 4 Torx screws.

The MacOpener with its 9" (236mm) long handle allows very easy access to these two secluded screws. It also opens, of course, the easily accessible screws.
